The Visual World of dpa-Bilderdienste

Up-to-date, fast, reliable and complete: daily news coverage in Germany is unthinkable without dpa's Picture Services, the dpa-Bilderdienste. Regional, national and international picture offers are produced in the dpa-picture-headquarters in Frankfurt/ Main and the subsidiary dpa-Zentralbild.


50 dpa-photographers and more than 100 photojournalists of international partner agencies cover all important news, sports and entertainment events around the world. Every day more than 1500 pictures are editorially prepared and released for publication via satellite and internet.


The dpa-Bildfunk provides the German media with more than 600 pictures of all current affairs worldwide. 900 additional photos are edited for the reports. The complete imagery of the dpa-Bilderdienste is available in the picture alliance portal. 10 million further photos in dpa's archive in Frankfurt cover more than 100 years of German and worldwide history.
