On 10 June 1982, the largest customer rally in the history of West Germany took place in Bonn. About 350,000 participants gathered for a demonstration on the occasion of the NATO summit, which took place in Bonn at the same time. The mainly young people demonstrated under the motto "Peace and Disarmament", mainly against the NATO Double-Track Decision, which provided for further armament on the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.
