2025-12-28 - First public film screening 130 years ago
28 December 1895 is generally regarded as the birth of cinema. On this day, the Lumière brothers used the Cinématograph they had developed to show ten short films they had made themselves for the first time to a paying audience in the Salon Indien of the Grand Café in Paris.
