My Fair Lady is a musical that premiered on 15 March 1956 and is based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion. It tells the story of the linguist Professor Henry Higgins, who wants to transform the poor flower seller Eliza Doolittle into a fine lady by teaching her perfect English. The work was successfully made into a film in 1964, with Audrey Hepburn playing the role of Eliza.
