The US actor and comedian Eddie Murphy was born on 03.04.1961 in New York City. He began his career as a comedian in local bars and clubs, until 1980, when he joined the popular "Saturday Night Live" show, where he became known for his fast talking style. Eddie Murphy celebrated his first film role in 1982 in "Only 48 Hours" co-starring with Nick Nolte. His big breakthrough came with the films "The Lucky Guys" (1983) and "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984).
