6 February 2028 – 70th anniversary: Manchester United's plane crash in Munich
On 6 February 1958, a plane carrying the Manchester United team crashed on take-off from Munich-Riem Airport. In the accident, which became known as the Munich Air Disaster, 23 people lost their lives, including eight players from the team.
