Alfredo James "Al" Pacino, born on 25 April 1940 in New York, is without doubt one of Hollywood's best character actors and also works as a director and film producer. The New York-born Pacino won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role as the blind Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade in "The Scent of Women" (1992).
