Anti-nuclear demon­stra­tions in Germany

On March 12, 2011, one day after the reactor catastrophe in Fukushima, around 60,000 people demonstrated with a human chain from Stuttgart to Neckarwestheim for an immediate phase-out of nuclear power. On March 26, 2011, up to 250,000 people demanded an immediate phase-out in the largest mass protests against nuclear power in Germany to date. On June 6, 2011, the German government decided to phase out nuclear power.
