ARCHIVE: Blockade on Stre­se­mannstraße following a fatal accident

The occupation of Stresemannstraße in Hamburg-Altona continued into the early hours of Wednesday (28 August 1991), on which a nine-year-old girl had been fatally run over by a lorry on Tuesday whilst crossing the road at a green light. Despite the arrival of Traute Müller, the Senator for Urban Development, around midnight, the protest is set to continue every day from 4 pm until traffic calming measures are introduced on the road.
