Capote, Truman (30.09.1924 - 25.08.1984)
The American writer, actor and screenwriter Truman Capote was born Truman Streckfus Persons on 30 September 1924 in New Orleans. He became famous not only for his award-winning short stories, but also for novels such as "Other Voices, Other Rooms", "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "The Grass Harp". His factual novel "In Cold Blood", published in 1965, made him one of the best-known writers in the USA. Truman Capote died on 25 August 1984 in Los Angeles.
