Captain Sir Tom Moore dies of Covid-19
The 100-year-old British record fundraiser Sir Tom Moore is dead. This was announced by his daughters. He had previously been infected with the coronavirus. Because of medication he had received to treat pneumonia, Moore had not been vaccinated against Covid-19. The World War II veteran had raised the equivalent of about 37 million euros for the National Health Service NHS in the Corona pandemic last year with a fundraising run and had gained worldwide fame.
