Cars Buried Nose-First in the Desert: The International Car Forest in Nevada
On the outskirts of the former mining town of Goldfield in the U.S. state of Nevada, more than 40 discarded cars, trucks, vans, and buses sit in the desert ground. Many are buried upside down, others are stacked on top of one another or simply parked there; most are covered in graffiti. Located along Route 95, this art installation is now a popular destination for photographers and explorers.
