Comet rendezvous with Earth
If you are lucky, you can see the green comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF), which only passes the Earth every 50,000 years, with the naked eye. However, the distance between our home planet and the celestial body is still 42 million kilometres, according to the Association of Friends of the Stars. In any case, this should be possible with binoculars or a telescope when there are gaps in the clouds. At present, it is in the sky all night. In 1997, Comet Hale-Bopp followed a luminous path at a distance of more than 100 million kilometres from the Earth. In 2020, comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) was also visible to the naked eye, to the delight of all stargazers.
