The producer, director and screenwriter Francis Ford Coppola, born 07. April 1939, is one of the most important and uncompromising filmmakers of our time. He has already won the Oscar five times for best screenplay, best director and best film. He celebrated great successes as a director with the Pate trilogy and "Apocalypse Now", among others.
