Corona vaccine from Johnson & Johnson to be produced in Dessau
After AstraZeneca, the US pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson also wants to produce some of its corona vaccine in Dessau. The company IDT Biologika announced on Monday that it would fill and pack the vaccine in the city in Saxony-Anhalt. For this purpose, capacities are now available for an initial period of three months, which were actually reserved for the production of a vaccine candidate for the Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda against dengue fever. IDT Biologika and Takeda have now agreed to initially use the machines for the corona vaccine.
