Dench, Judi (born 09.12.1934)
Whether Shakespeare or James Bond, theatre or film, comedy or drama. British actress Judi Dench, born on 9 December 1934, can do it all. The exceptional actress made her debut in 1957 as Ophelia in Shakespeare's "Hamlet". She appeared in numerous other Shakespeare productions and was awarded the renowned Laurence Olivier Award a total of eight times. She became known to a wide international audience with her role as M in six James Bond films from GoldenEye (1995) to Spectre (2015). Her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I in the film Shakespeare in Loveì, which lasted only eight minutes, earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1999. Among numerous other awards and honorary titles, Dench received the title Dame of the Order of the British Empire in 1988.
