Cartoonist Martin Perscheid is dead
He created thousands of cartoons. His protagonists are often stout, endowed with bulbous noses and googly eyes, and often enough: politically completely incorrect. Martin Perscheid crossed borders by drawing, which made the viewer laugh loudly and heartily, maybe even at himself. Sometimes his cartoons were shabby, sometimes bitterly angry, perhaps not easy to digest for many, but often funny. Now the artist has died at the age of 55.
