Dorothea Lange - US pho­to­jour­nal­ist Dorothea Lange

The US photojournalist Dorothea Lange (26 May 1895 - 11 October 1965) is considered a co-founder of documentary photography and is best known for her work for the Farm Security Administration (FSA) during the Depression era. She photographed the unemployed, soup kitchens, striking dock workers and documented the poverty of migrant workers in rural areas in the 1930s.
