Einstein, Albert
Albert Einstein (born March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany; died April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey) is considered one of the most important and best-known physicists in the history of science. His main work, the theory of relativity, made him world famous. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1921 for his services to theoretical physics. Einstein also made use of his extraordinary fame outside the scientific world and campaigned for international understanding and peace.
