Elvis Presley, the legendary "King of Rock “n Roll”, was born on 8 January 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. He died on 16 August 1977 at the age of 42 at his Graceland estate in Memphis. Elvis became an icon of pop culture with great hits such as "Jailhouse Rock", "In The Ghetto" and "Love Me Tender" and is one of the most successful solo artists of all time. He was a teen idol and great entertainer in Las Vegas, starred in more than 30 films and his records have sold more than a billion copies worldwide.
