First in history: transgender actress honored with a Golden Globe
Michaela Antonia Jaé Rodriguez (MJ Rodriguez) wins an award at the 79th Golden Globes for the series "Pose," which premiered in 2018. Rodriguez first made history in the summer of 2021, when she became the first transgender actress to be nominated for a lead actress Emmy, but she did not receive the award.
