Frederick William of Prussia (8.10.1831 - 15. 06. 1888) became King of Prussia and German Emperor on March 9, 1888 after the death of his father, Emperor William I, under the name Frederick III. His reign lasted only 99 days due to his already advanced cancer. He died on June 16, 1888, a year in which he was succeeded on the throne by his son Wilhelm II.
