Graham, Billy (07.11.1918 - 21.02.2018)
The US evangelist and televangelist American Baptist preacher Billy Graham, (07. November 1918 - 21. February 2018), conducted evangelism campaigns all over the world since the 1940s. With his so-called "crusades" (crusades), the former Baptist pastor, also called "God's machine gun", reached more than 200 million listeners all over the world, countless people found faith through him. Even though he provoked opposition with his conservative moral concepts, he was considered the "Pope" of American Protestants for decades and was probably the most prominent mass preacher of the 20th century, who also served many presidents as an advisor and confessor. Time magazine included Graham in its list of the 100 most important personalities of the 20th century. Billy Graham was married to Ruth McCue Bell (d. 2007) since 1943 and is the father of five children. Graham died on 21 February 2018 at the age of 99.
