Hindenburg, Paul von
Paul von Hindenburg (02.10.1847 - 02.08.1934) was a German field marshal in World War I and Reich President in the Weimar Republic. (1925-1934) His term of office included the authoritarian presidential cabinets and the appointment of Adolf Hitler as Reich Chancellor. Hindenburg paved the way for the Nazi dictatorship by dissolving the Reichstag in 1933 , signing the emergency decrees and the Enabling Act.
