Josh Safdie (born April 3, 1984, in New York City) is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He became known, along with his brother Benny Safdie, as one half of the Safdie Brothers, primarily for films such as "Good Time" and "Uncut Gems." His style is characterized by intense suspense, rapid-fire dialogue, and a realistic, often nervous narrative tone.
