Iran wants to host World Cup matches in Mexico
Despite the Iran-Iraq War, Iran wants to participate in the World Cup this summer. However, the country wants to play its three group stage matches in Mexico instead of the USA. According to the state news agency IRNA, the Ministry of Sport stated that it is discussing this possibility with FIFA. It remains to be seen how FIFA will respond to this request.
