Jones, Grace (geb. 19.05.1947)
Artist and art figure: Born on 19 May 1947, Jones is a singer, actress, muse and artist known for her extroverted and androgynous style. Originally from Jamaica, Jones moved to the USA in her teens, where her career as a model took off. She moved to Paris in the early 1970s and worked more as a model, gracing the covers of numerous magazines. At this time, she also took her first steps towards a music career, recording three disco albums before finding her own style, a mix of reggae, new wave and electro. But Grae Jones was not only seen on stage, she also appeared on the big screen in the 80s, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Conan the Destroyer" or Roger Moore in the James Bond film "In the Face of Death", among others. The documentary film "Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami" was released at the beginning of 2018. In her private life she has been married twice and has a son with the designer JEAN-PAUL GOUDE.
