Kundera, Milan (geb. 01.04.1929)
Writer and university professor Milan Kundera was born in Brno, formerly Czechoslovakia, on April 1, 1929. In 1975 he went into exile in France, where he has lived and written ever since. He became known for the prose work "The Book of Ridiculous Love (1969)." Kundera's worldwide breakthrough came in 1984 with the novel "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", which was also his most commercially successful book.
