Living statue at the World Cup: Congo fan turns heads.
While fans around him scream, cheer, and curse, Michel Kuka Mboladinga remains absolutely motionless. His pose is modeled after the statue of Lumumba standing in Kinshasa, the capital of the Congo—a tribute to President Patrice Lumumba, who was assassinated in 1961. As a renowned "superfan," the 49-year-old was even officially included in the Congolese federation's delegation. Mboladinga gained wider recognition for his unique way of watching matches during the 2025 Africa Cup in Morocco; he has been supporting the national team in this manner for over a decade.
