Malcolm X would be 100 (19.05.2025)
The American activist Malcolm X (actually Malcolm Little) is one of the best-known leaders of the civil rights movement in the USA and remains an icon of the Black Power movement to this day. Malcolm X was initially a supporter and one of the leaders of the ‘Black Muslims’ (Nation of Islam), but later turned away from their separatist beliefs and militant ideas. On 21 February 1965, Malcolm X was assassinated in the Audubon Ballroom during a lecture. He would have been 100 years old on 19 May 2025.
