Merkel honored with European Order of Merit
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been awarded the European Order of Merit by the European Parliament for her commitment to the EU. Democracy is under pressure, the 71-year-old warned members of parliament in Strasbourg at the award ceremony.
