born on 5 August 1950. After winning two gold and one silver medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, she became one of the most popular athletes in Germany as "Gold-Rosi". She is married to the former ski racer Christian Neureuther since 1980. The couple has two children: Amelie and Felix.
