Director, screenwriter and film producer Martin Scorsese, born Nov. 17, 1942) has been one of Hollywood's most successful and influential filmmakers for decades. Scorsese was born in 1942 as the son of Sicilian workers and grew up in New York's "Little Italy" neighborhood. His best-known films include "Taxi Driver" , "Like a Wild Bull", " The Last Temptation of Christ", "Aviator" and "The Wolf of Wall Street". For "Departed - Among Enemies" he received the director Oscar in 2007.
