Spaceman and dishwasher: All-purpose robot «Beomni 1.0»

"Beomni 1.0" is the first true general-purpose robot that can perform a variety of tasks or even travel into space. The humanoid robot was unveiled to the public for the first time last week at the Consumer Electronics Show 2022 in Las Vegas. It is said to be the world's first fully functional general-purpose robotic system. "Beomni" was developed by US-based Beyond Imagination, Inc. and resembles a human. The humanoid robot can lift up to 15.88 kg of weight per arm. It can also perform delicate, delicate tasks, such as opening a bottle cap or injecting a needle. The robot will be used in manufacturing, maintenance and eventually in building space constructions. Four wheels at the base move the nimble robot itself through sand, mud and snow. Initially, it will still be remotely controlled by humans, but its AI brain will eventually learn to perform tasks on its own. "Beomni" has already been tested in a hospice in Colorado, where it took the temperature for three days, looked in the mouth with a tongue depressor and even danced with the patients to cheer them up. Beyond Imagination assumes that "Beomni" can work in warehouses, pick fruit and perform dangerous tasks such as electrical repairs. The invention was brought to life by American scientist Dr Harry Kloor. "Beomni" is expected to hit the market in the next few years. Its price is currently around £110,000 but would drop to around £50,000 when it goes into mass production. It is hoped that the robot will also prove useful in future space exploration and experimentation. Please note the minimum fee of 15 euros.
