Successful maiden flight of the «Volar» flying car
The London-based eVTOL start-up has successfully completed the first test flight of its two-seater "Volar" prototype aircraft. The futuristic-looking "Volar" from Bellwether Industries, which would also cut a good figure in a James Bond film, is expected to be in the air by 2028. "Volar" will introduce a new category of private urban aircraft for inner-city transport. The final version of the flying car will be about 10.5 feet (3.2 metres) wide, while the prototype model for recent test flights was about half that size. The current "Volar" prototype is a two-seater, while the final machine will have room for four to five seats. The latest flight test was conducted at an altitude of four metres (13 feet) at a speed of 40 kilometres per hour (25 miles per hour). The team said the test flight proved the prototype's stability and controllability and will be the start of a series of development projects. Please note the minimum fee of 15 euros.
