SZ Photo - Flughafen München Riem
Der Flughafen München-Riem, eröffnet 1939, war bis zur Eröffnung des neuen Flughafens München Franz Josef Strauß im Jahr 1992 der Hauptflughafen der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde der Flughafen militärisch genutzt, danach aber schnell wieder für den zivilen Luftverkehr geöffnet und expandierte in den 1950er-Jahren. 1992 wurde der Flughafen aufgrund seiner begrenzten Kapazitäten durch den neuen Flughafen in Erding ersetzt und 2004 vollständig geschlossen.
