SZ Photo - Re­ichs­ban­ner Schwarz-Rot-Gold and Iron Front, 1924-1933

The non-partisan Reichsbanner Black-Red-Gold was founded on February 22, 1924 by the three parties of the Weimar coalition (SPD, Center, DDP) to protect the Weimar Republic against its radical enemies. In the wake of the formation of the Harzburg Front by right-wing parties and associations, the Reichsbanner joined forces with the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Federation, the trade unions (ADGB) and the General Free Employees' Federation on December 16, 1931 to form the Iron Front. - This selection contains pictures from our partner agency Süddeutsche Zeitung Photo.
