Noskova wins Wimbledon nail-biter

After a match full of ups and downs, Linda Noskova dropped her racket and sank to the grass as her Wimbledon triumph over her fellow Czech player was sealed. Following a nerve-wracking contest, the 21-year-old won the all-Czech final and celebrated her first Grand Slam title. Playing before Princess Kate, Noskova prevailed 6–2, 5–7, 6–3 against Karolina Muchova—after a one-sided start—and secured record Wimbledon prize money of around 4.2 million euros.
