In films and series, the long-haired collie played its way into the hearts of the audience. In fact, the figure of the clever dog was "played" by different animals. The Japanese Akito dog Hachiko stands for loyalty in Japan. After death he remained loyal to his master and touched the hearts of Richard Gere's side in "Hachiko: A Wonderful Friendship". Talking pug Frank caused a laugh, at the side of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men in Black 2".
