Wilhelm II, German Emperor - Portraits
Wilhelm II (27.01.1859 - 04. 06.1941) was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia from 1888 (June 15) to 1918 (November 9). His reign saw the heyday of the German Empire with its economic boom and technical progress. However, it was also characterized by the struggle for economic and military supremacy in Europe and the European colonies. Its misguided alliance policy led the empire into the First World War. After the German defeat and the end of the empire, Wilhelm II went into exile in the Netherlands.
