WWII - Atlantic Charter 1941
British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt met in Argentina Bay off Newfoundland in August 1941 for a five-day secret meeting (Aug. 10-14, 1941). The result was a joint Anglo-American declaration of principles (Atlantic Charter of Aug. 14, 1941) that established Allied goals for the postwar period.
