Women's carnival
Despite the rain, around 6,000 revelers in Rhineland-Palatinate refused to let their spirits be dampened on Women's Carnival Day. Right on time at 11:11 a.m., they joyfully celebrated the start of street carnivals at the carnival fountains across Germany – with music and balloons.
