2025-08-06 - 80. Jahrestag Atombombenabwurf auf Hiroshima und Nagasaki

Am 06.08.1945 wurde über Hiroshima die erste Atombombe abgeworfen. Die vier Tonnen schwere Bombe "Little Boy" legte die Stadt in Schutt und Asche und tötete schätzungsweise 140000 Menschen. Drei Tage später wurde über Nagasaki eine zweite Bombe, "Fat Man", gezündet, der 70000 Menschen zum Opfer fielen. Zehntausende starben außerdem später an den Folgen von Verletzungen oder an der nuklearen Verstrahlung. Mit den beiden Atombomben zwangen die USA das im Zweiten Weltkrieg mit den Nazis verbündete japanische Kaiserreich zur Kapitulation.
