78. Venedig Filmfestival - Eröffnungszeremonie

Eine strahlende Penélope Cruz, neben ihr ein entspannt wirkender Pedro Almodóvar: Gleich zur Eröffnung liefert das 78. Internationale Filmfestival die gewohnt glanzvollen Bilder von Prominenten. Die beiden Oscarpreisträger stellten am Mittwochabend in einer Gala, in der auch der italienische Schauspieler und Regisseur Roberto Benigni («Das Leben ist schön») mit einem Goldenen Löwen für sein Lebenswerk geehrt wurde, ihr Drama «Madres paralelas» vor und eröffneten damit die Festspiele. Cruz spielt darin eine von zwei Frauen, die ungeplant schwanger werden. Kurz vor der Geburt ihrer Töchter lernen sie sich in einer Klinik kennen, fortan bleiben ihre Leben eng miteinander verbunden.
