Der Regisseur, Drehbuchautor und Filmproduzent Martin Scorsese, geb. am 17.11.1942, zählt seit Jahrzehnten erfolgreichsten und einflussreichsten Filmschaffenden Hollywoods. Scorsese wurde 1942 als Sohn sizilianischer Arbeiter geboren und wuchs im New Yorker Stadtviertel "Little Italy" auf. Zu seinen bekanntesten Filmen gehören "Taxi Driver" , "Wie ein wilder Stier", " Die letzte Versuchung Christi", "Aviator" und "The Wolf of Wall Street". Für "Departed - Unter Feinden" erhielt er 2007 den Regie-Oscar.
