Er wurde vor allem durch seine Arbeit mit "Buffalo Springfield“ und "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young“ bekannt, aber auch als Solokünstler und prägendes Mitglied einer Reihe erfolgreicher Bands. Stills hat insgesamt über 35 Millionen Alben verkauft.
