«Surva» - Internationales Festival der Maskenspiele
Traditionell maskierte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer nehmen am 28. Januar 2023 an einer Parade während des Internationalen Festivals der Maskenspiele «Surva» in der bulgarischen Stadt Pernik teil. In der Antike veranstalteten die alten Thraker die rituellen Kukeri-Spiele zu Ehren des Gottes Dionysos, der als Gott des Weines und der Ekstase bekannt war. Noch heute sind diese Spiele auch als Dionysos-Spiele bekannt. Unter den Kukeri-Tänzern befinden sich viele Figuren, darunter Dionysos und seine Satyrn sowie andere aus der Geschichte stammende Figuren wie der Zar, Harachari, Plyuvkachi, Startzi und Pesyatzi.
