Fall of the Wall and Reunification 1989-1990
The fall of the Berlin Wall on the night of November 9-10, 1989 marked the beginning of the reunification process of the country that had been divided for 40 years; on October 3, 1990, the former GDR joined the Federal Republic of Germany. We have prepared this important event in German history for you in 30 picture collections. The focus is on the events of 1989/90. At the same time, we also document yesterday with the construction of the Wall, the change using the example of selected places, and today with its memorials and museums.
